Tenant get-started guide

LandlordPort tenants join by invitation from their landlord or property manager. There is no public sign-up for the tenant portal. Here is the whole journey, start to finish.

  1. Watch your inbox for your invitation

Your landlord or property manager invites you from their workspace using your email address. You receive one private email, “Invitation to Join LandlordPort”, with an “Accept Invitation & Setup Account” button. The link is unique to you and expires 14 days after it is sent.

Check spam or junk if it is not in your inbox, and confirm the landlord used the exact email address you have access to.

  2. Accept and set up your account

Open the link to land on the invitation page. New to LandlordPort: create your account with that same email address (name and password) and the invitation is accepted for you. Your tenancy profile is created automatically. Already have an account: sign in and the invitation is attached to it.

Each invitation can only be accepted once. If a link has expired, ask your landlord to resend it. The old link stops working as soon as a new one is sent.

  3. Sign in through Manage rentals

Next time, open “Manage rentals” in the top navigation, choose the Tenant card on the portal chooser, then sign in with your email and password on the tenant sign-in gate. You land in your tenant dashboard.

Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password?” on the tenant sign-in gate to reset it by email.

  4. Use your tenant portal

Your dashboard shows your tenancy: property and unit, dates and status, plus rent payments and your balance, maintenance requests with your landlord's replies, messages, documents, and your profile details.

Everything you see there is scoped to your tenancy. It is the same record your landlord maintains for you.

Before you start

  • An invitation is tied to the email address your landlord invited. Accept and sign in with that same address.
  • Invitation links expire after 14 days and can be resent (the previous link stops working when a new one is sent).
  • Already a landlord with a workspace? You keep the landlord portal: a portal sign-in tells you which one your account belongs to.

Questions about your invitation or tenancy go to your landlord or property manager. They manage your tenancy record on LandlordPort.
